Alfa Romeo 8C Cars

Alfa Romeo 8C Cars
The name Alfa Romeo 8C was used in road cars, racing and sports from the 1930s produced by Alfa Romeo . The name originally derived from the 8C 8 cylinder engine online. The Vittorio Jano designed 8C was the main engine of Alfa Romeo racing since its introduction in 1931 until his retirement in 1939 . In addition to sporting two-seater, was used from 1932 onwards in the P3 Monoposto racing model "Type B", the first car used in a race of Grand Prix . 1 In its later development, the engine was used in vehicles such as the 6.3 L Bimotore (with two motors) of 1935 , the 3.8 L Monoposto 8C 35 Type C (also 1935) and the Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Spider Miglia. In 2004 , Alfa Romeo 8C resurrected the name for a concept car with V8 engine in 2007 became a production model, the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione .
Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 (1931)
The first model was the 8C 2300, 1931, the name was a reference to the car engine, with 2.3 L (2336 cc). The car was originally designed for racing, but they were also produced 188 units were used as road cars. While the racing version of the 8C 2300 Spider, driven by Tazio Nuvolari won the race Targa Florio in Sicily in 1931 and 1932, victory in Monza in the Italian Grand Prix in 1931 was named "Monza" to GP car with two squares, which was a shortened version of Spider. Alfa Romeo often added the name of events won to the name of a car.

He won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1931 (with Howe and Birkin), 1932 (with Chinetti and Sommer), 1933 (with Nuvolari and Sommer) and 1934 (with Chinetti and Etancelin). The 8C 2300 Le Mans model exhibited at the Museum of Alfa Romeo was bought by Henry Birkin in 1931 for use in competitions, but not the car that Birkin and Howe won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1931.

The Scuderia Ferrari had become "semi-official" racing department of Alfa Romeo, which did not enter into careers as an attempt by the company, due to the poor economic condition of the company. With the 216 hp 2.6 engine start, the Monoposto Type B (P3) could accelerate to 100 km / h in less than 7 seconds and could eventually reach 217 km / h. In 1934 the motor racing became 2.9 liters.

The 3.8 liters producing 330 hp at 5500 rpm and had 434 Nm of 900-5500 rpm. 5 tires wore Pirelli 5.25 or 5.50 x 19 front and 7.00 or 7.50 x 19 rear. Although the Type C could not win Mercedes-Benz and Auto Union in the fastest circuits, was better than them in tighter circuits. In 1936, the Type C were fitted with uncomfortable V12 , and so, again equip the 3.8 liters.
Alfa Romeo bimotore 1935
In 1935, to compete with Mercedes-Benz and Auto Union , Enzo Ferrari (the racing team manager) and Luigi Bazzi (Designer) built a racing car with two engines of 3.2 L (3165 cc), one in front and one back, providing 6.3 liters and 540 hp. Could never succeed against the Mercedes-Benz W25 B of Rudolf Caracciola , and spent a lot of fuel and many tires. The May 12, 1935, two Bimotore who were enrolled in the Tripoli Grand Prix driven by Tazio Nuvolari and Louis Chiron , finished in fourth and fifth. Chiron managed to finish second in the Avus race in 1935. The June 16, 1935, Nuvolari drove a specially prepared Bimotore from Florence to Livorno and set a new speed record of 364 km / h and an average speed of 323 km / h. After that was shelved in favor of Type C
Alfa Romeo 8C 2900A (1936)
In 1936 was introduced the model 2900A 8C, as a two-seater version of the 8C 35 racing car, with the gearbox mounted in the rear and a fully independent suspension. 7 The 8C 2900A was also a race car designed to the category of sports car . They were built less than a dozen 8C 2900A, this was followed by the 8C 2900B, similar to the previous but about 30 units sold as road cars. At the same time, the 3.2 Alfa Romeo Type B became uncompetitive, but Tazio Nuvolari had achieved the feat of winning the German Grand Prix at N├╝rburgring at the wheel of a 3.2 Type B 8 against the most powerful Mercedes-Benz and Auto Union .

The Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Mille Miglia Roadster (or Spider), 1938 had a 2.9 liter engine with 225 hp and non-synchronized transmission with four speeds and reverse, and was used in the Mille Miglia 1938. In the 1938 Mille Miglia, Clemente Biondetti and Carlo Pintacuda left with the first two positions. Biondetti car engine used a 300 hp (220 kW) of Type 308, while the one used Pintacuda 225 hp (168 kW) of 8C 2900B. 11
In 1938, 2900B, 180 hp (225 hp version was racing) was considered the fastest production car in the world.
The last time an 8C 2900B Mille Miglia Roadster was auctioned in August 1999, cost four million seventy-two thousand dollars, making it one of the ten most expensive car ever auctioned.
Alfa Romeo 8C 2900B Le Mans Speciale (1938)
Alfa Corse , the racing department created by Alfa Romeo , having purchased the shares of the Scuderia Ferrari , entered a single 8C 2900B in the 1938 edition of the race of Le Mans . The car had a body coupe simplified but very innovative when cars racing at Le Mans were almost always open. The aerodynamic coupe was built by Touring. In 1987 , an Italian magazine tested the car in the wind tunnel at Pininfarina , which measured a Cx of 0.42, to 0.38 with air intakes closed. 13 The coupe had performed particularly well in the beginning, winning a distance of 160 km to the next car, which was a problem in the tires followed by a split valve. 14 This was the only time the coupe officially ran. After World War II , smaller racing came under private ownership. Then was exhibited at the Donington museum from the 60s before being added to the Alfa Romeo museum which now runs with him at many events.

Biggest Tibetan Mastiff in the World

Biggest Tibetan Mastiff in the World
A coal baron named Mr. Yang (as only his sir name has been revealed) from northern China has bought a dog for 1.5 million, that’s compatible to the price of a brand new Porsche 911. With this price a Red Tibetan Mastiff named “Big Splash” or Hong Dong, secured the top position on the list of most expensive dogs.
Biggest Tibetan Mastiff in the World
Size; Usually, a male Tibetan Mastiff stands at least 26 inches tall at the shoulder and weighs in the vicinity of 100 to 160 or more pounds; females are at least 24 inches tall at the shoulder and weigh 75 to 125 or more pounds
Biggest Tibetan Mastiff in the World
In 2008, the Tibetan Mastiff competed for the first time in the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
A Chinese woman was reported to have spent more than 4 million yuan to buy an 18-month-old purebred male Tibetan Mastiff, which she named Yangtze No. 2. In March 2011, a red Tibetan mastiff was reported to have been sold to a 'coal baron' from northern China for 10 million yuan. There have been other similar reports of dogs sold for astronomical prices; however, most of these appear to be breeders' attempts to drive up the prices of their dogs. Photos of dogs shown on web sites are frequently photoshopped to exaggerate color intensity, size, and "bone". Buyers have reported getting their dogs home only to find that bathing removes both color and "hair extensions" from the coat.

World's Biggest Snake Titanicboa

World's biggest snake
The world's biggest snake was a massive anaconda-like beast that slithered through steamy tropical rain forests about 60 million years ago, says a new study that describes the ancient giant.
World's Biggest Snake ever
Titanic Boa is the largest snake ever discovered. They were between 12 and 15 meters or 39 and 49 ft in length and weighed about 1,135 kg or 2,500 lbs with a diameter of 1 m or 40 in at the thickest part of the body. It is believed to have lived approximately 60 to 58 million years ago, in the Paleocene epoch. It was recently discovered in Columbia.
Fossils found in northeastern Colombia's Cerrejon coal mine indicate the reptile, dubbed Titanoboa cerrejonesis, was at least 42 feet (13 meters) long and weighed 2,500 pounds (1,135 kilograms).
"That's longer than a city bus and … heavier than a car," said lead study author Jason Head, a fossil-snake expert at the University of Toronto Mississauga in Canada and a research associate with the Smithsonian Institution.
Biggest Snake in the World
World's biggest snake ever recorded is Titanoboa Snake was 48 Feet Long and Weighed-2500-Pounds
Previously the biggest snake known was Gigantophis garstini, which was 36 to 38 feet (11 to 11.6 meters) long. That snake lived in North Africa about 40 million years ago.
Hans-Dieter Sues, associate director for research and collections at the Smithsonian's National Museum of Natural History, was not involved with the study but has seen the snake fossils.
Sues noted that humans would stand no chance against one of these giants, which killed their prey by slow suffocation.
"Given the sheer size—the sheer cross-section of that snake—it would be probably like one of those devices they use to crush old cars in a junkyard," Sues said.

In addition, the snake's heft indicates that it lived when the tropics were much warmer than they are today, a find that holds potential implications for theories of once and future climate change.

The Rarest Animal (creature) in the World

The rarest animal specie in the world

The Pinta Island tortoise is the rarest animal in the world. There is only one left on earth. His name is "Lonesome George".

The Pinta Island tortoise, also known as the Pinta giant tortoise, turtle or Isla Abingdon Island giant, was a subspecies of the Galapagos tortoise from Pinta native Ecuador.

Lonesome George is the last member of the Pinta Island subspecies of Galapagos tortoises. Lonesome George  was discovered in 1972, and led to the Charles Darwin Research Station on Santa Cruz. It 's about 90 to 100 years.

This ,rarest Animal (creature) in the World, subspecies was originally described in 1877 by German-born British herpetologist Albert G├╝nther, who named it Testudo abingdonii, a new species, in his book The Gigantic Land-tortoises (Living and Extinct) in the Collection of the British Museum

Currently, researchers are trying to George to mate. Have not found a female Pinta Island tortoise (if you found one, the reward is $ 10,000). Instead, they are trying to get him to mate with some other Galapagos tortoises a different subspecies. In this way, even if the children would not be purebred Pinta Island tortoise, at least some of the genes would be passed on to George.
